7 Overlanding YouTubers In The UK 2024
The UK is home to a vast amount of places waiting to be toured by you in your overland vehicle! Whether it is Cumbria and Lake District you decide to venture into, or the Northern Highlands of Scotland. Whilst wild camping is generally prohibited in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
If you are based in the UK and you are into overloading, you’re very lucky as you got beautiful landscapes and great routes in your immediate surroundings. Overlanders who aren’t based in the UK appreciate the breathtaking scenery enough to come all the way to visit and tour the countries.
If you yourself are thinking about overloading in the UK or if you are planning your next tour within the UK, check out these 8 Overlanding YouTube Channels to meet and connect with fellow overlanders or to get some valuable tips on the UK’s greatest overloading spots.
Who are the 7 best 4×4/Overlanding Youtube channels to watch in the UK in 2024
Here are our top picks for best 4×4/Overlanding You Tubers to follow in 2024 in the Uk
1) North West 4X4 Off Road Group
Meet James, Chris, Andy, Dave and Greg! The five friends are the team behind the Overlanding YouTube Channel North West 4×4 Off Road Group.
While they all share the love for overloading, they all differ in the 4×4 vehicles they chose to use for their off-road adventures. Whilst Chris drives a Defender 90, Greg drives a Discovery 1 and Dave a Shogun Sport.
Their videos include off-road adventures to destinations across the UK, Land Rover shows, vehicle reviews as well as tips and tricks on how to carry out small modifications on their different 4×4 vehicles.
Check out their channel to see some – very often very muddy – adventures.

2) Kent Survival
Kent Survival is all about tranquil and scenic hidden places on earth – particularly within the UK – and how to access and enjoy those gems in a self-sufficient way. Andrew Davidson, the man behind Kent Survival, takes us along his outdoor journeys.
Whether it is overloading in a 4×4, wild camping or canoeing. Andrew does it all and he has some serious bushcraft skills! Watching Andrew’s videos awakens the love for the outdoors in his viewers. Since he is in the purest nature throughout most of his videos, there are almost no noises despite the sound of the wind or the nearby river.
This makes his videos ever so soothing and ideal to unwind. Luckily, Andrew is not just an outdoor enthusiast but also a passionate cook.
He shows us that cooking up a big English breakfast on just a rock in the nature is indeed possible.

3) J K Overland
Another nature enthusiast is the couple behind JKoverland: Jack and Kristina.
The two love travelling and have chosen a 4×4 to allow them to access remote places all across the world.
What we love about Jack and Kristina is their determination to make the world a cleaner and greener place. And they get hands on to achieve this! Everywhere they go, they try to collect plastic waste to minimise the global plastic pollution that we are sadly witnessing.
Their well-shot videos include picturesque shots, challenges they have faced on their overloading adventures, boundaries they have overcome and useful tips such as their personal vehicle preparation schedule.

4) Bushwacker Overland
Dean from the Overlanding YouTube Channel Bushwacker Overland has been going on overland adventures ever since he purchased his Landrover Defender 110 in 2019.
His videos are all about outdoor adventures including bushcraft and self-sufficient camping in his rooftop tent. Dean shares his conversions with us in his videos as well as his ultimate must-haves when planning on going on an overlanding trip.
He takes us along on his trips. Whether it is to Scotland, Dartmoor, Wales, the UK’s most beautiful and tranquil beaches or the mountains. Every now and then, Dean has some travel companions: his golden retriever Buster, his wife Angela and his two daughters Louise and Becky.

5) Overland Explorers UK
The next Overlanding YouTube Channel on our list is slightly different to the previous channels presented so far. Overland Explorers UK is primarily focused on building and expanding a community for people who share the passion for overland vehicle travels.
While they do upload regular videos to their YouTube Channel, they invite their viewers to join their community. Their YouTube Channel as well as their social media platforms – Instagram and Facebook – have become places to ask questions, give advice, share experiences, discuss current topics and find travel companions for the next overlanding adventure.
In their videos, the various overlanders share valuable information on topics such as great routes, self-made conversions, guides and equipment reviews.

6) Wilderness Adventures UK
Spiro was born in Cardiff but considers himself very much a “country boy” nowadays. His Overlanding YouTube Channel originally came into life because Spiro wanted to stay in touch with his son when he started university.
However, his videos soon attracted many other people besides his son who were interested in outdoor adventures. Spiro now hopes to inspire others with his videos to enjoy the outdoors. Whether it is through camping, hiking or overlanding in a 4×4.
His videos include everything outdoors-related: From bushcraft and shooting to camping and DIY modifications.
Always tagging along on Spiro’s adventures is his dog Luther.

7) Veterans Expeditions Overland
Finally, we’ve got another very special Overlanding YouTube Channel for you!
As you might be able to tell from their channel’s name, the team members behind Veterans Expeditions Overland are all veterans who have served the army.
Together, they are converting and building Land Rovers all by themselves. Once all the Land Rovers are finished, Veterans Expeditions Overland is planning an overland expedition to areas in which the veterans have served.
We love this project as it helps veterans, of whom most of them are suffering from PTSD, to overcome their experiences whilst serving. The project allows them to come together in the shared purpose of building overlanding vehicles through which they will hopefully regain their confidence.
Currently, the team of Veterans Expeditions Overland is taking a lot of action to help Ukrainians who are suffering from the ongoing war. Head to their Overlanding YouTube Channel if you want to discover how to build and modify Land Rovers or if you want to learn more about the good the team does!
